Compliance & Contracts

Contractual Compliance

Drafting, review and enforcement of commercial contracts that protect your position.

  • Raipur, Chhattisgarh
  • Partner-led
  • Fixed or milestone fees on request

Most commercial disputes we see trace back to a contract that was unclear, incomplete or never signed. Good drafting is the cheapest dispute resolution there is.

Contracts we draft and review

  • Supply, purchase and job-work agreements
  • Service and maintenance agreements
  • Distribution, agency and dealership agreements
  • Shareholder, partnership and founders’ agreements
  • Leases and licences of commercial premises
  • Non-disclosure and non-solicitation agreements

What we look for

  • Payment terms that align with the MSMED Act where you are an MSE supplier
  • Liability caps, indemnities and termination rights
  • Dispute resolution — jurisdiction, mediation and arbitration clauses
  • Stamp duty and execution formalities

When a contract is breached

We review your rights, send notices, negotiate and — where needed — move to mediation, arbitration or court.

FAQ

Contractual Compliance: common questions.

01Is an email or WhatsApp agreement legally binding?

It can be, if the essentials of a contract are present. But informal agreements often leave out payment terms, liability limits and dispute resolution — which is where disputes start.

02Do contracts need stamp duty in Chhattisgarh?

Many commercial documents attract stamp duty under the stamp law applicable in Chhattisgarh. Insufficiently stamped documents can face problems as evidence, so we check this when finalising.
